B-Corp & Benefit Purposes
Spotlight has adopted 6 specific benefit purposes to advance public benefit. These purposes provide the framework for which we define certain metrics and measure our impact against the SDG goals to ensure that the mark that we create is impactful and helpful. We encourage employees to also reach to meet these purpose benefits in their personal endeavors and as part of their employee contribution to Spotlight.

Designing a product that simplifies CSR and ESG for an any-sized brand
Creating software that makes it easy to find cause-focused information to grow knowledge and gain perspective from trusted partners
Designing software that allows people to amplify the causes and organizations that they care about
Designing software that reduces barriers to giving and taking action.

We endeavor to build a brand and product that does not pressure for untenable perfection but instead celebrates all small acts toward something better by:

Designing software that helps people build good habits
Designing software where collective goals and impacts are easy to track and support
Designing and creating products that have a low carbon footprint
Supporting community events that lead by the tenant to "leave it better" by using digital, solar, and recycled materials

Seeking partnerships with organizations that focus on female health, safety, and equitable opportunities
Designing software that elevates content that is cause-focused and intellectually stimulating vs. rewarding content that is sexualizing women
Fostering a "body positivity" community within content sharing and creating policies that prohibit shaming of women.
