CLIMATE EMERGENCY DECLARATION

Spotlight has joined hundreds of other companies and thousands of jurisdictions around the world in declaring a climate emergency. We’re committing to net zero emissions as quickly as possible. In doing so, we encourage all stakeholders to declare this emergency with us.

NET ZERO GOAL

We will run a zero-emissions business that uses science-based targets to achieve our greenhouse gas emissions goals. Because this goal has been established at the infancy of Spotlight, we think we can achieve this target quickly and scale with our stakeholders as key contributors to this initiative.

  1. Our hope is that we can be a critical partner in transforming the retail economy through digital goods where the carbon footprint is potentially 95% less than that of an average physical product.

  2. We aim to keep our emissions low by adopting a modern work style with telework options, co-working space leases, and flexible schedules. A report on remote working estimates that the average flexible working center can help generate carbon emission savings of 118 metric tonnes annually between now and 2029.

  3. It is our intention to offset our company and employees carbon footprint by investing in clean energy projects.

1% FOR THE PLANET

Spotlight believes in the power of collective action. If we bring together individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations around the world to support people and the planet, we can save species from extinction and reverse damage to our planet. Through our commitment with 1% for the Planet organization, 1% of our revenue to environmental nonprofits.
